Frequently asked questions

What does Net 30 mean?

Payment is due 30 calendar days after the invoice date. An invoice dated 10 October 2026 on Net 30 terms is due on 9 November 2026.

What does EOM or Net 30 EOM mean?

EOM means end of month: payment is due on the last day of the month the invoice was issued. Net 30 EOM adds 30 days after that, so an October invoice is due on 30 November.

How is a late fee calculated?

This calculator uses simple interest on the invoice amount for the days it is overdue: a monthly rate is spread over 30-day months, an annual rate over 365 days. 1.5% per month on 1,000 for 30 days is 15.

Can I charge any late fee I like?

No. Many countries cap late-payment interest or set a statutory rate, and a fee usually has to be agreed in your terms before the work. Check the rules where you and your client are.
